Halloween Cookies

Dylan came to visit today since his mom was having a girls night away with her high school friends in Idaho Falls. The day was full of adventure for Dylan and I as we made sugar cookies and had lots of fun. Beginning with eating the dough, Dylan getting flour on his clothes and having to change to Allie's shirt, accidently spilling sprinkles on the floor and quickly cleaning them up with the broom before "mom came home and slipped on them and fell down" (Lan has always been accident prone but I didn't realize that Dylan was so quick to learn this so early in life) j/k Lan.

This is Dylan - all smiles as he begins to create his pumpkin. The candy corns were the teeth and when I asked him how come the pumpkin's mouth was a little crooked, he simply explained that he had gotten a little hungry and taken just a few bites off of the candy corn teeth. We learned about what colors mixed together make other colors as we created purple and orange frostings and Dylan was amazed at how the colors changed colors. It was fun to see the simple excitement of learning new things!

Do you sense the pride of this little 4 year old showing off his fine purple pumpkin..only about 15 minutes in the making! Great job Dylan!! Thanks for coming and sharing your fun personality with us today! It was great to be able to spend the day with someone so excited about life and it's many adventures!
